Introducing... HJC F70 helmet

HJC’s new-for-2020 sports-touring helmet creates an affordable mid-ground between the i70 and the popular R-PHA 70.

The F70 features HJC’s all-new batwing shaped HJ-32 visor, which has opening tabs on each side of the visor rather than one central tab like most other HJC visors.

Interestingly, the F70 doesn’t make use of HJC’s RapidFire quick visor change system, which appears on most new HJC helmets. Instead, it requires a screwdriver to undo the locating tab to take the visor off.

The HJ-32 visor is Pinlock-ready and an insert is included in the box, while a large breathguard also helps stop the visor misting up.

The fibreglass shell houses an internal drop-down sunvisor, which is operated using an easily accessible switch on the left-hand side of the lid.

Inside, the F70 has an anti-bacterial lining that’s moisture-wicking and quick-drying. The crown pad and cheekpads are also removable and washable to help keep them fresher for longer.

Cut-outs in the lining help to easily accommodate spectacle arms, while quick-release cheekpads allow emergency services to remove the helmet with minimal head movement if required.

Ventilation is taken care of by a sliding chin vent, which has another clicking vent above it. There are also two air channels on the top of the lid, and a large exhaust vent on the back allows the hot air to quickly escape.

The F70 will be compatible with the new-for-2020 Smart HJC Bluetooth intercom system, which is sold separately.

The lid will be available in sizes XS-2XL in two shell sizes – the first covering sizes XS-M and the second taking on L-2XL. It will launch in four plain colours with an RRP of £229.99 and eight graphics, which have an RRP of £269.99.
