Retro leads the way on this week’s selection of the best new stuff, but there’s plenty of modern kit right on its heels.

AGV Legends X3000 Invictus

The AGV Legends X3000 was launched in 2018 to pay tribute to one of the firm’s first full-face helmets, worn by the likes of racing legend Giacomo Agostini in the 1970s.

For 2020 the lid receives a new retro colourscheme (pictured below) featuring bold black stripes on a glossy white background.

The X3000 features a button tab to lock the visor down, a plush suede interior and a brow vent on the visor, which can only be closed by fitting the supplied rubber bung.

The Invictus black and white design has launched at £349.99 in sizes XS-XL.

Rev’It Ladies Torque textile jacket

Two years after Rev’It’s Torque summer jacket for blokes launched in 2018 there’s finally a ladies version.

Coming in black, camo black/grey or the striking camo pink colour pictured below, the summer-focused Torque is fully vented on the chest, back and underarms. There’s also a detachable Hydratex waterproof liner that can be reattached if you are caught out by the rain.

CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour comes as standard, and an optional Seesoft back protector can be added. Two loops inside the jacket allow the attachment of Rev’It jeans.

The jacket is available in sizes 6-18, and launches at £149.99.

RST Tractech Evo R CE leather jacket

The previous generation of RST’s Tractech Evo R leather jacket proved a hit and they’ve upgraded it for 2020.

The Tractech Evo R CE leather jacket receives AAA CE certification, the highest rating under the latest provisional standard. It also comes in a range of new colours and loses the white banding across the chest.

Its leather construction is backed by Level 2 CE-approved shoulder, elbow and back armour, while external shoulder and elbow sliders increase abrasion resistance.

Perforations on the chest and back increase airflow to the body, while stretch panels under the arms give extra flexibility. An aerodynamic race hump on the back provides stability at speed.

The Tractech Evo R CE jacket has launched in four colours – black, black/camo (pictured), black/red/white and black/blue/white with prices starting at £319.99. It comes in sizes S-3XL.

Forma Swift J Dry boots

Forma’s new urban riding trainers deliver footwear that can be worn both on and off the bike.

The Swift J Dry boots have a suede outer with Cordura reinforcement, and a Drytex waterproof membrane. A padded cuff and tongue make them comfier around the ankle, while ankle padding and reinforced heels and toes bolster protection.

They’re available in two colours – black/white or brown/olive green (pictured). Launching at £119.99, they come in sizes 36-47 (UK 3-12).

Rukka Stancer Gore-Tex leather gloves

The Rukka Stancer gloves have a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane housed inside a leather and neoprene outer. A finger bridge over the ring and pinky finger prevents unwanted separation of the fingers in the event of an accident.

Hard knuckle armour and a rubber palm slider look after protection, while touchscreen-friendly fingertips make using smartphones and sat-navs easy.

The Stancer gloves have launched at £249.99 in black, in sizes S-3XL.
