Introducing... new boots lead TCX's 2020 collection

Italian boot manufacturers TCX have revealed their 2020 collection, featuring a range of different styles to suit racers, tourers and urban riders alike.

ST-Fighter Gore-Tex

Brand new in TCX’s 2020 line-up are the track-focused ST-Fighter Gore-Tex boots (pictured below). Full ankle bracing, hard shin plates, reinforced heels and replaceable toesliders provide all the protection you’d need for a trackday, but a Gore-Tex membrane will keep your feet dry if it rains on the way home.

A plastic shifter guard is overlaid on each boot, while long accordion stretch panels on the front and back of the boots aid flexibility.

The launch RRP of the ST-Fighter boots is £249.99, and they will come in black in sizes 38-49 (UK 5-13.5).

Airwire Gore-Tex Surround

Last year, TCX became the first motorcycling brand to use Gore-Tex Surround, which offers improved ventilation through small holes on the side of the sole to let heat and moisture escape easily. For 2020, TCX are employing this technology into the Airwire Surround Gore-Tex boots, a shorter touring boot.

The Airwire boots (pictured below) boast an abrasion-resistant fabric outer with a Gore-Tex membrane, as well as the Surround technology. Protection comes in the form of a shin plate and reinforced toes and heels. A cushioned insole provides all-important comfort, while textile stretch panels on the front and back of the boot boost flexibility.

The Airwire boots have a launch RRP of £229.99 and will be available in black in sizes 38-48 (UK 5-12.5).

Explorer.4 Gore-Tex

Also new into TCX’s touring range are the Explorer.4 boots, which have an abrasion-resistant fabric construction backed by a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane. Reinforcements on the shins, toes, heels and bony parts of the ankles will provide protection, while wear-resistant soles and gearshift pads will preserve the boots for a little while longer.

The Explorer.4 boots (pictured above) will launch in black with an RRP of £169.99, in sizes 36-48 (UK 3-12.5).

Rook WP

Urban riders will be particularly happy with TCX’s 2020 collection, which leads with the Rook WP boots. These vintage-styled boots are made from Nubuck leather with fabric inserts, and have a T-Dry waterproof lining. Unlike a lot of boots in this style, there is no entry zip and the laces are there for fastening duties rather than just for show. Reinforced toes and heels provide a little extra protection, while small stretch panels at the top of the boots give better flexibility.

The Rook WP boots (pictured above) have a launch RRP of £164.99, and will be available in black or brown in sizes 39-47 (UK 6-12).

Staten WP

These urban-style boots (pictured below) enter TCX’s everyday ‘24/7’ range, and will look at home both on and off the bike. A full-grain leather outer is backed by a waterproof lining, and there’s a large stretch panel on the side for easier entry. They’ll be available in a choice of two colours – grey or black in sizes 39-47 (UK 6-12). They have a launch RRP of £149.99.

District WP

The District WP boots (below) are an urban trainer with all the important areas reinforced and a protective gearshift panel. Complete with a T-Dry waterproof lining, breathable and comfortable insole and wear-resistant sole, these riding shoes are aimed at commuters. They have a launch RRP of £179.99 and will be available in black or gunmetal/brown in sizes 38-48 (UK 5-12.5).

RT-Race Pro Air

A new bold colour option for TCX’s RT-Race Pro Air sports boots will be available in 2020. The striking black/red/white colourscheme (below) joins the line-up with a launch RRP of £299.99, available in sizes 38-49 (UK 5-13.5).

With ankle bracing, hard shin plates and reinforced toes and heels, the RT-Race Pro Air boots are perfect for track riding, but their perforated outer means they’re great for riding in hotter climates too.

Rush 2

The original Rush boots were some of the most popular of their kind, so it’s understandable that TCX have upgraded them for 2020.

The Rush 2 WP sporty-urban boots (below) have a microfibre construction and a T-Dry waterproof lining, with reflective detailing and reinforcements in key areas. Their launch RRP is £109.99, and they’ll be available in gunmetal or grey/fluo yellow in sizes 36-48 (UK 3-12.5).

Also joining the line-up are the Rush 2 Air (below), which have a perforated microfibre outer and a breathable inner liner, with no waterproof membrane. They have a launch RRP of £109.99 in gunmetal, and will be available in sizes 36-48 (UK 3-12.5).

Baja Mid Waterproof

The Baja Mid waterproof boots came out last year, but 2020 brings a new colour option to the adventure boots. The Baja Mid calf-length boots, which have a distressed-look leather outer and a waterproof lining, will now be available in black as well as brown in sizes 38-48 (UK 5-12.5), with a launch RRP of £199.99.

Street Ace

The popular urban Street Ace Waterproof trainers (pictured below) have a leather construction, waterproof lining and key reinforcements, and they’ll now also be available in grey with a natural rubber coloured sole, with a launch RRP of £124.99 in sizes 38-8 (UK 5-12.5).

A natural leather coloured version of the perforated Street Ace Air boots (below) will also be available, launching in the same price and sizes. Ladies will also have a new colour choice, with a grey/silver option with pink details launching at £124.99 in sizes 35-42 (UK 4-8).
